What to know
Choose togetherness, comfort, or individual adventure.
A side-by-side lets eligible passengers ride with a driver; a single-seat ATV does not carry a passenger. A pontoon keeps your group together on the water, subject to the selected boat’s capacity. E-bikes work best when each participant meets the operator’s fit and riding requirements.
Share ages, heights where requested, driver experience, and any mobility needs with the team before reserving. Do not assume that a child car seat, infant, pet, or passenger arrangement is permitted on a particular vehicle.
For families who want to ride together
Compare two-, four-, and five-seat UTVs. A family of five may fit one five-seat vehicle only if every person meets the passenger requirements and that model is available. Otherwise, ask about multiple vehicles and eligible drivers.
A guided ride offers a local route leader and a shared pace. Guests generally operate their reserved vehicles; the guide is not automatically the driver of your family’s vehicle.
- Count drivers and passengers separately
- Confirm child eligibility before paying
- Choose a shorter available outing when comfort is uncertain
For a relaxed summer lake day
A traditional pontoon favors conversation and cruising. A double-decker waterslide boat adds a different kind of fun, but it is a specific inventory choice. Check life-jacket sizing, shade and seating, bathroom plans, loading, and the actual return point before the day.
- Confirm everyone fits within boat limits
- Arrange delivery for the lake where you are staying
- Bring only equipment and supplies allowed by the rental instructions
For an active bicycle outing
Pick the starting area first: Memories at Grand Traverse Resort or Riding Electric on the Leelanau Trail. Choose a manageable out-and-back plan with time for breaks and the return ride. Pedal assist helps, but each rider still needs balance, braking skills, and a comfortable fit.
- Ask about rider age, height, and equipment fit
- Check current trail conditions and detours
- Keep the route within your group’s comfort and battery range
For a winter family getaway
A snowmobile trip needs more preparation for warmth, passenger eligibility, and weather. Check two-person availability, ask about gear sizes, and leave flexibility in the itinerary for snow conditions. A reservation date alone does not guarantee that trails will be rideable.
- Confirm driver and passenger requirements
- Bring the layers and gear listed for your booking
- Check the operating plan before leaving home
